Once Upon a Time in the West

July 30th-Aug.14 SSC Library will host a series of events celebrating the cowboy heritage of Nebraska. July 30th 6:30 p.m. Ricardo Garcia will speak on The Hispanic Roots of Cowboy Culture. This is a Nebraska Huamanities event. The library will show movies starring John Wayne, Kevin Cosner and George Strait respectively to point out various time peroids and changing perceptions of the West and cowboy culture. The librar will do book talks on fiction and nonfiction literature available in the library. The program closes with a concert by The Yampa Valley Boyx of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
