Outstanding Librarian/School Medica Specialist or Advocacy Award
Each year the Northeast Library System solicits nominations for Outstanding Librarians/School Media Specialists or a library supporter who has inspired their colleagues within Northeast Nebraska. Each recipient receives a plaque and is recognized at the Northeast Library System Annual Meeting.
Advocacy - for outstanding support and promotion of the library, its services and programs. This award is for a library board member, a volunteer or another person who is or is not employed in a library.
Outstanding Librarian - for demonstrating iniative and contributions in the library or library profession.
Pat On The Back Awards The Library System Board approves "Pat-on-the-Back" Awards at their bimonthly meetings. This recognition is given to anyone who has made a difference in any type of library in northeast Nebraska. Community members, city officials, library Friends, Trustees, Foundation members, co-workers, school library media specialists, librarians, school administrators, anyone who has been particularly supportive in the promotion of the local library or media center. To recommend someone, simply contact one of the System Board members and ask them to make the nomination at the next Board meeting.
